We were appointed to undertake the structural steel for a new £8 million 12 storey student accommodation in the centre of Birmingham.
We were also tasked with the supply and installation of 8,000m2 of metal decking, temporary edge protection which was installed at ground level to provide a safe working edge around the structure and precast concrete staircases.
Due to the compact nature of the site and restricted programme period, we developed an erection sequence which allowed our client access to the lower levels early in the build by creating numerous crash deck levels and alternating our erection sequence as the structure progressed.
