This unique 2 Storey facility in Blackpool required significant steel framed temporary works to enable the 8 steel legs encased in concrete to be placed in situ before the remainder of the building could be erected and bolted to the main frame. The elevated pod is connected to the main building by a cladded atrium.
The dominant feature of the building is the cladding. Using Euroclad Vieo the cladding was curved on site to match the profile of the building. The Kingspan KS1000MR wall cladding was sprayed on site to match the exact colour of the Vieo at the architects request.
